And Florence has done it again! I just love her new album Ceremonials..and love this video for No Light, No Light.
My lovely Mother bought me this beautiful little ballerina trinket from one of the many antique stalls in Portobello, it looks just perfect standing amongst my jewellery stands and pots of rings!
This made me think of the exhibition on at the Royal Academy of Arts, Degas and the Ballet: Picturing Movement, showing beautiful paintings aiming to capture the art of movement within dance. This is definitely on my list of many things to do in the big city!
The other week I paid a visit to the divine vintage boutique, Dolly Diamond. I had read about the store in numerous magazines before with great reviews, so I was happy to have discovered it and be able to take a peek!
Selling a mixture of women and menswear, Dolly Diamond is beautifully decorated and styled, with gorgeous wall displays and cabinets full of trinkets; not to mention the rails and rails of vintage dreaminess!
Something that made my visit even more interesting, was the discovery of this book displayed among an array of treasure, A Vintage Affair. I had read this book a few months back and fell in love with the beautiful story, and it turns out the owner of Dolly Diamond had helped the author, Isabel Wolff, with some of the necessary historic details surrounding vintage items. The lady in the shop told us all about it, and sure enough, her name is listed in the 'Thanks' section at the end! I would highly recommend reading this book to anyone who loves vintage and poignant stories, and of course would recommend visiting this delightful independent shop, if ever visiting the Portobello area- you won't be disappointed!
What better way to spend a rare, gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon than a little stroll. I was back home
visiting my family and we walked to a little area where the once upon a time stable houses, now make the perfect spaces for little local businesses. Dreaming of owning my own little vintage boutique one day...

So it's just two days until Versace for H&M hits the flagship stores...and I cannot wait to see the collection finally here in real life!
It goes without saying that as a true believer in old school glamour, Hollywood romance and a fan of all things Marilyn...I am eagerly anticipating watching My Week With Marilyn. With an all star cast including the likes of Emma Watson, Michelle Williams and Judi Dench the film is sure set to be one classy viewing! I am so pleased that Williams is taking the lead as Miss Monroe, as she probably wasn't the obvious choice, but at the same time I feel she will fit the part perfectly! I have loved her as an actress ever since her days on Dawson's Creek (cringe-yes I was a fan!) I think she oozes true grace, charisma and understated class...bring on the 25th!
Williams as the iconic Fifties siren- uncanny!
This weekend I took a trip to London in the hope of seeing some twinkly Christmas lights, and I was not disappointed! A little early some might say, but I felt like getting into the festive spirit. There were so many beautiful Winter Wonderland decorated window displays- Selfridges being the most magical and spectacular! Here are a few of the displays and the Oxford Street lights...
