Dotty For You...

Wearing: polka dot skirt, whizzkid metallic wedges and silver scallop vest: Topshop, embroidered sheer blouse: Vintage Kaliko.

Slinky Camis

Cute, patterned, slinky, silky camisoles are becoming a little bit of a 'thing' for me right now. So versatile, and can add a little touch of girlyness to the most sophisticated of outfits! Wear with practically anything on the bottom half: high waisted shorts, cigarette trousers, midi skirts, maxi skirts, drop back skirts, jeans...the list is endless. These particular ones of mine, are quite short in the length- therefore I usually opt to wear them with something that is fairly high waisted. To dress down: wear with contrasting pastel jeans, plimsolls or converse and a blazer. To dress up: wear with a floaty, chiffon midi skirt, pretty dainty heels, and a cute cardigan or elegant jacket.
Floral cami: New Look, pink crinkle and mint polka dot camis: Topshop

I have finally got my professional portfolio up onto the blog! Check it out here, as well as my moodboard and inspiration work under the moodboards tab. Still more to be added, so keep checking back!

Oriental Express

I have been quite drawn to oriental florals lately when dressing! Here are a couple of recent outfits with an oriental twist...

Explore mixing other styles with oriental to create a unique and modern look. Here I've added a fringed bag to give a slightly hippie/ boho twist, teamed with ankle socks and wedges for that little quirky element I love to include here and there...
Wearing: dress: River Island, fringed bag: Vintage, ankle socks: Topshop, necklace: a present from a friend from Ebay.
Picked up this little bargain in the New Look sale- I love it because it looks really unique and so un-high street!! Because of the intricate pattern and bold colour clashing, you can afford to team a piece like this quite simply, so the focus is kept on the staple item, so denim is your best bet here; keep it clean and simple.
Wearing: Jamie jeans: Topshop, kimono: New Look.

Sisters of the New Moon Nails #Topshop

I had been meaning to use my 'Sisters of the New Moon' nail transfers from Topshop, ever since I excitedly purchased them back in February, ready for LFW! Well as much as I love to do my nails, and cannot stand them being chipped, in among frantically blogging, my day job, household tasks and many other duties, the poor things are often neglected! So after my lovely relaxing, hour long massage and facial the other day, it seemed the perfect time to actually give my nails some much needed TLC. I have gone for 3 shades to apply the transfers over, a shimmery mauve, pastel lilac and creamy baby pink. I also added some random dots (or more like splodges) for good measure, and finished off with a subtle sparkly top coat.

Late Night Lusts...

I often find myself browsing numerous high-street retailers' websites, when I really should be getting some all important beauty sleep! Anyway, I thought I would start posting some of my 'late night lusts', I seem to be most susceptible to being lured in by beautiful new, online arrivals during the evenings, so this is a kind of documentation of my ever-growing wish list I suppose!
Anyway, these utterly amazing love heart leggings from Topshop are first to feature on Late Night Lusts; surprising to myself and anyone who is familiar with my usual style, as I really am not much of a leggings-kinda-girl...but these are on a WHOLE other level! Get. In. My. Wardrobe. Now!!
Wear with copious amounts of pastels, which must include: a blazer, cute loose and casual top, over-sized bag, wedges and sunnies!

Grimes - Genesis

Love love loveee Grimes! My new found musical crush, just love her sweet, twinkly little voice and especially in this song, Genesis. I think an album purchase may be on the cards for moi...

Flutter Face jewellery

I was listing some items to sell on ebay the other day and ended up shopping! I was on the look out for some quirky, vintage inspired jewellery and trinkets, and came across Flutter Face. The ebay shop sells really cute and kitsch hand made rings and necklaces, so I could not resist purchasing a few for my ever growing jewellery collection, and at such great prices I would have been a fool not to!
I was so pleased when my package arrived; beautifully wrapped in the candy pink and white striped paper pockets, with the name and logo printed on the sticker. It just got better as I unwrapped my goodies, I was so pleased to see how much attention to detail and effort had gone into the delivery process! Very professional and personal, by writing a little note wrapped round the necklace, with a little hair pin added in as an extra!
Not only did I love my purchases, but was also extremely impressed with the quality, care and passion put into everything! I shall definitely be shopping there again, check out their full range of pieces on ebay here or visit the website at http://www.flutterface.co.uk/shop/

Forget LBDs...White is Right!

On the High-street...
On the Runway...
Versace, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham.
On the Red Carpet...
Cameron Diaz, Michelle Williams, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway.

Time to get brave girls and banish your wintery LBDs and start embracing the LWD! Perfect for any occasion; dressed up with glam heels for a night out or dressed down for the daytime with sandals and a straw hat (check out the cute lace one from Topshop above!) Anything goes with white, so you can sport a different S/S 12 trend with your LWD each day of the week and it will still look unique! Go for neon nights, florals for Friday, metallic on Monday and shimmer away on a Sunday!

Don't shy away from white...it's your friend! Especially with a great tan after you come back off your holidays...what better way to show that sunkissed skin off!?

Ye Olde Sweet Shop

The other week I took a visit back to my hometown of Basingstoke, and went to the Viables Craft Centre, just down the road from my family home. First stop was to the darling, authentic little sweet shop, 'Ma Humbugs'. Pastels are one of my favourite trends for S/S 12, so this seemed a very fitting location for a few cheeky snaps of the sugary deliciousness!

Couldn't leave without a little paper bag full of my favourite old fashioned sweeties, rhubarb & custards! It would be rude not to...
I chose a very sorbet inspired outfit for the occasion! Wearing: cornflower blue jumper: Thrifted, flying geese printed flippy skirt: River Island, clutch bag: Arcadia sample sale, primrose yellow ankle socks: Primark,  salmon pink brogues: Office.
Rings & bangles: Topshop, Vintage & Accessorize.
