Paris 2012: Braving the Metro/ Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore

I love the original, Art Nouveau Metropolitain signs - tres charmant! This one was just up the street from our hotel, just on the edge of Le Marais.
Wearing: pink beaded top: Primark, lavender jacquard shorts & mint blazer: Topshop, mint/ tan bag: New Look, lilac fur: Vintage.
Place de la Republique

Would have loved to have visited this Comme des Garcons exhibition...
Some very interesting adverts on the underground...

A rather sweet little window display
Inside the impressive Galleries Lafayette
Inside Galleries Lafayette...with a few cheeky shopping bags
Absolutely breathtaking stain glass dome ceiling...impressive much!?

I just love this idea of everyone sitting outside the little street cafes, watching the world go by, chatting away to friends whilst sipping copious amounts of cafe au lait...I so wistfully wish to be a part of that chic, 'have all the time in the world' kind of life...

One of the many Cherub stone carvings seen in the intricate architecture of some of the doorways
I wish one day for this to be my home...!
Dripping with pearls...lucky little Miss Mannequin!

Hard at work shopping!
Dream job: window dressing for Prada in Paris!

One of my favourite windows out of the whole of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore; love the quirkiness, reminds me a little of Man Ray's outrageously surreal Dali Atomicus photograph.

Brilliant advert for Jean Paul Gaultier's limited edition coke bottles!

Place de la Concorde

One of the many, many fountains
Art on the metro: a beautiful mosaic of a Degas painting, tres belle!
