LFW S/S13: Carlotta Actis Barone Catwalk

Inspired by elements from the opera, The Magic Flute, the Carlotta Actis Barone S/S13 show was by far one of my favourites that I saw this LFW. Opened by a flurry of brightly dressed, smiling ballet dancers pirouetting and sashaying down the runway, I was immediately enthralled.
The dancers were clad in beautiful structured tutus, with a marble effect of swirling colours and neon green tights with orange, silk ballet slippers, while two others were donning nude all in ones with illustrative music notes and words all over, all complete with a neon orange ostrich feather pinned artfully in their candyfloss hairstyles.

The collection was an array of bold colour clashing, neons, quirkiness and downright fun. The pieces were unique to the designers' signature style and delivers her tagline without disappointment for her 5th collection, The wearer becomes a representation of femininity as well as the carrier of a message.
Did you see the show, what were your thoughts?
