My LFW S/S13 Style: A date with Dogtooth

Wearing: Trousers, shoes and pork pie hat: all Topshop, cropped shirt: Republic, lace jacket: Vintage.
I actually never used to be a big fan of dog/houndstooth...until I spotted these cute trousers at work one day..then I was hooked! It is an absolutely massive trend for this A/W for the whole 60's trend that's about right now. My advice would be to keep to just one item of the print, and keep the rest of your look simple. It looks great on coats for that classic look, or if you're not brave enough rocking a whole item, accessorise with a printed scarf, slipper shoes or cute clutch bag to get your dogtooth fix and still look chic and on trend! I think I was drawn to these as I find them quite a subtle take on the bold pattern, due to the print being alternated between little and big 'teeth', so that would be another option for the not so bold pattern lovers among us! I also find these trousers extremely versatile, as they can be mixed with a cute peplum top and cocoon coat or blazer for a classic look, or 'edgied' up like I have done here with a vibrant coloured cropped shirt, collar chain and chunky studded shoe boots.

What are your thoughts on the print?
