The LOOK Show in Association with Smashbox Cosmetics 2012

Yesterday I attended The Look Show in association with Smashbox Cosmetics, with a few girlfriends of mine. It was a brilliant event and a rather star studded affair, with the likes of Whitney Port, Lydia Bright, Mark Wright and Diana Vickers among many other celebs, gracing the Frow. The venue holding the annual event was The Royal Courts of Justice on The Strand, which provided a rather grand backdrop for the high-street catwalk shows. Naturally, there were a few hours prior to the show kick starting, to mingle among the celebs and fellow fashionistas whilst sipping the complimentary champagne which was topped up the moment glasses were half full, and picking at the delicious canapes. Smashbox stands were dotted about, with the beauty girls on hand for quick make-up top ups and photo booths supplied much fun and entertainment for the posers among us all (let's face it...that's most of us then!)
The show kick started with the gorgeous as always Miss Kelly Brook, debuting a super shiny bodycon dress from her new collection for New Look, which was to be followed with collections from high-street favourites such as PrimarkRiver IslandMangoWarehouseUniqloM&S and Next. For the first time, the very best of online brands were also shown on the catwalk which included looks from: BoohooA WearVeryShe LikesSelfish by Forever UniqueSimply BeFashion Union and La Redoute.
We were then treated to a performance by the stunning Alesha Dixon and handsome Ashley Walters, singing their new duet Your Love, officially released November 11th, followed by an old school performance of Scandalous, accompanied by some rather energetic street dancers.
All too soon the finale began; one of my favourite parts of a catwalk show, as I love seeing all the models strutting their stuff down the runway together, showing all the looks at once. Red shiny confetti was released with a bang, fluttering down onto the audience, as Kelly appeared once again to close the show. It was an absolutely wonderful day, spent with close friends and champagne aplenty, soaking up everything fashion and fabulous. Thank you so much to Look magazine for treating us to a superb afternoon of fun and frolics!
