The other weekend my hometown held a Vintage Car Festival which my Mum and Brother were attending. I was designated taxi driver for the day but instead of just dropping them off I thought I'd tag along as well; it was a better option than spending a Sunday afternoon at home without my usual company. However, I surprised myself by actually getting quite into it, picking out different cars that I'd quite like to be sitting behind the wheel of, (all pretty pastel colours, as you will notice!) and really quite enjoyed myself. We met up with my Aunt & Uncle and after a good couple of hours wandering around dreaming, the decidedly grey skies gave in and the heavens opened, so we decided to make a quick dash back to the car and arranged to meet at Zizzis where we proceeded to have a delicious family lunch; it really was the perfect way to while away a drizzly Sunday afternoon.

I had not been to Zizzis in ages, so was pleasantly surprised to notice the fresh and arty decor, with illustrated walls and bare branched trees in between some tables; bella, bella!
Thanks for reading!
I was actually already planning on doing an inspirational style moodboard for Ted Baker, ever since I walked into House of Fraser about a month ago and fell in love with the entire S/S 13 collection; so it was simply fate that I came across their blogger competition to do just that!
It has been an extremely hard decision choosing just 3 of my favourite items, but I have perfected my final outfit creation which I have tailored towards a summer's day out at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show, since today was the opening of the prestigious event which I am planning on hopefully attending soon.
This delicious 'Lellia' dress (£129) instantly caught my eye whilst shopping in House of Fraser that day; I absolutely adore pretty pastels as everyone knows, especially when teamed with fly away chiffon and cute pleats! Due to it's lovely loose fit and light fabric, it would also be extremely accommodating and comfortable for my ever growing baby bump - perfect!
I thought about teaming the dress with many of the gorgeous handbags from the S/S collection - and if we were allowed to make it 4 items instead of 3 I definitely would! However, I decided to put my sensible hat on (it rarely makes an appearance...) and decided I was creating this outfit realistically as to what I would ideally wear on my day out to the Chelsea Flower Show. Therefore, I chose to team the dress with this beautiful sorbet pink 'Safiyah' trench coat (£249), as we can never rely on our Great British Weather to provide us with sunshine, and what's the point in wearing such a pretty dress if it is just going to be sodden with raindrops! I have been looking for a Spring mac for a while now and this is the perfect find to stay warm and dry as well as classically stylish!
Finally I am going against all my sensibilities rambling on about staying dry in the rain, by choosing these gorgeous, but rather impractical 'Joela' sandals (£110) if walking around on squelchy grass at a flower show! But a girl's got to have some fun right!? Plus the pretty aqua hue coordinates beautifully with my other chosen pastel beauties - and we all know I love a good colour coordination too!
My final touches would be perfectly manicured nails in a zingy lemon shade, a slick of subtle nude lippie, hair pinned up in a chic chignon, my pearl necklace and earrings set and the silver metallic quilted clutch, 'Mettar' from Ted Baker for a little bit of shine ♥
What would you choose from the Ted Baker S/S 13 collection?

So the day I have been waiting for since the absent promise of it's arrival last Christmas, is finally here! I spent last night excitedly prepping my outfit for tonight, which I have had tickets booked for for weeks, in order to secure the finest seats to watch this year's undoubtedly, most spectacular creation; The Great Gatsby. I have been extremely good and not gone out shopping for something new, because, let's face it...that probably is a tad extreme! So I spent a good hour or so trawling through my wardrobe(s!) in order to find something suitable to wear that was not too 'Wintery' - which, may I add, was actually quite a difficult task, as most of my opulent, embellished items strictly belong in Winter territory.
This gave me the urge to see what was out and about on the internet destination of the high-street, to create a little inspirational Twenties style moodboard for you all! I was quite disappointed with the sheer lack of 1920's galore taking over many a homepage, and realised that unfortunately the shops were bursting to the brims with sequins, feathers, beading and fringing when the initial release date was exposed - something has not gone quite right here! However, I found that Miss Selfridge's website definitely came up trumps for the glamorous, Twenties style with their new 'Prom Night' collection, which has some really beautiful pieces that depict a bit of old school glamour but with a fresh, Spring/ Summer take on the theme. Topshop was another one which provided some good old glitz, with a few sequined lovelies here and there, so if you're looking for a little something to spice up an outfit to watch The Great Gatsby, or just fancy being a flapper girl for the day, those trusty two shopping destinations would be highly recommended!
This is the outfit I chose to wear for the evening; I didn't want to go too OTT as that's a bit full on when just dressing for a cinema outing, but I just wanted to give a little nod to the Twenties with a few subtle sequin touches, string of pearls and a slick of demure lipstick, while still keeping the Spring theme in mind...
What I'm Wearing: Pale pink sequin tunic: H&M, gold brocade jacket: Miss Selfridge, burgundy chain bag: Primark.
Has anyone else been to see it yet or planning to soon? I've just got back from watching and it is truly beautiful!
I am in love with the new style of summer sandal: the 'barely there' stiletto! The simplicity and elegance of the delicate design is right up my street for those hazy summer days, especially in pretty pastels and with a touch of bling thrown in! And since my bump is slowly but surely growing, I'm having to be uber sensible not to shop for too many new clothes like I usually would, as I'm bound to grow out of them within a few weeks; therefore, pretty shoes can be my naughty vice instead! So here is my round up of my ultimate favourites from the high street- I particularly love the pastel Primark beauties and metallic mix Asos design!
What's your favourite pair? Or are you coveting a different shoe style this Summer?
