If you saw my 'month in pictures' post from the end of May, you would know that I excitedly posted a photo of the Swan Lake tickets I had recently receieved in the post, having booked them as a surprise for my Mumma Magpie to visit the ballet at the Royal Albert Hall, mid June. Time has just been flying by non stop this year, so before I knew it, off we were on the train to London both eagerly anticipating our glamorous evening that awaited us. Like Mother like Daughter, we had both longed to attend the Ballet for as long as we could both remember, so when I saw that The English National Ballet were performing none other than Swan Lake, (Mother has a love of swans and any type of beautiful bird imagery...) at the RAH...well, it was just meant to be! It was also my first time visiting the Royal Albert Hall, so of course I wanted to dress accordingly for the occasion and have a few snaps outside. Here are a few pics from the evening; we weren't allowed to take photos inside but of course I managed a few sneaky Iphone ones - I wouldn't be much of a blogger if I didn't break the photo taking rules now and then would I!?
What I'm Wearing: Satin dress: Miss Selfridge, blue lace jacket: River Island, nude peep toes: Primark, green sequin clutch: Zara
If it is still showing, which I'm unsure of, I would highly recommend anyone who is a lover of ballet or even if you're not, to try and get to see this. It really was such a beautiful and amazing experience to see 60+ little ballerina swans in their matching tutus, delicately dance around the stage.
