Gorgeous Couture Pregnancy Blogger Edit & Dress Review

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the luxury British fashion brand, Gorgeous Couture, asking if I would be interested in taking part in their 'Bloggers Edit' feature; this time focusing on pregnant bloggers. Of course I jumped at the chance! I was asked to choose my favourite dress and send over my measurements to take advantage of the exclusive Made to Measure service they offer, which is free of charge by the way; if you're in need of the perfect fit for a special occasion it's a brilliant service to make use of! Once that was done I just had to wait for my custom made dress to arrive, which it did, wrapped and boxed beautifully ready for me to style up.

I went for the 'Bailey Dress' in yellow, as I thought the one shoulder and ruched detailing would be very flattering draped around my baby bump, and would show off the design of the dress well. The Bailey also comes in seven other colours, but I chose yellow to make the most of the last little bit of sunshine this year! The material of the dress is truly luxurious; lovely thick, Italian jersey - the brand's signature fabric, and is double lined making for an ultra smooth silhouette and is practically seamless. I also decided on this style as it is an extremely versatile and adaptable style: perfect for glamming up for a night out or toned down with tights and a smart blazer for a more professional feel. I made the most of the weather by keeping my ensemble quite simple, mostly just focusing on the dress and opting for a lightweight jacket to tie in with the coral colour on the sandals, as well as an oversized clutch bag and a colour pop of blue with earrings and statement ring. I do love colour, so a beautiful dress such as this was never going to be paired with simple black, so I thought these shoes were the ideal accessory, complimenting the yellow of the dress with two other colours to play around with. What do you think?

What I'm Wearing: The 'Bailey' Dress: Gorgeous Couture, clutch bag & ankle strap sandals: Both Primark, ring: Topshop.

Thank you so much to the ladies at Gorgeous Couture for my beautiful dress, and especially to Amy who has arranged everything; I've really enjoyed styling it up for the Blogger's Edit! :)

Official Baby Bump Photography (at 37 Weeks)

Around this time last year, I was asked to take some photos of my friend's sister's baby bump, but in a non-conventional, 'non-cheesy' way. I thought it was such a lovely thing to do, to have an official record of photographs of the bump which were much more personal than having a stranger do them in a studio. A year or so on, and I found myself wanting to do exactly the same. Although I have many photos documenting my outfits throughout my pregnancy, I really wanted to have slightly more traditional images that weren't so much about the clothes, but focused on my bump, to be able to store in an album, look back on in years to come and treasure the special time when baby was in my tummy. I asked Mumma Magpie to take these photos for me, as she knows best how I like things done and is aware of my own personal style of photography. We did take quite a few so I have selected my favourites to share with my readers. I hope you like them!

My Pregnancy Style: A Little Mathew Williamson at 37 Weeks

I absolutely adore Mathew Williamson's colourful and quirky designs, and always have done. This top is from the Mathew Williamson for H&M collection many years ago, but it still stands the test of time and to me, is still iconic of being one of Williamson's signature designs. The intricate mirror detail and mix of colours in the embroidery is so beautiful. I recently rediscovered this beauty with having to slightly alter my choices of dressing during pregnancy, realising that it was in fact the perfect design and shape for a growing bump. This rediscovery inspired me to dedicate this post to Mr. Williamson entirely, as I had also bought a beautiful new candle for my room back at my Mother's from the Butterfly by Mathew Williamson range at Debenhams, as well as a new bed spread from the Accessorize home-wear range from House of Fraser, which possesses a very similar look to Williamson's style with the colour palette and tropical vibe.

My beautiful 'Oriental Birds' bedspread from Accessorize Home - Kingsize: £65.
A little wish list of all the other Butterfly for Mathew Williamson goodies I am lusting after...

What I'm Wearing: Embroidered top: Mathew Williamson for H&M (past season), lime cardigan: Forever 21, black midi: Topshop.

A mini moodboard of some of my favourite colour/ pattern combinations from the A/W 13 collection from Mathew Williamson. Although unfortunately I'll be unable to attend this season's London Fashion Week, I will be glued to my laptop screen watching all the live streams and look forward to seeing what the brilliant designer comes up with for the S/S 14 collection!

Baby Shower: 36 Weeks

Now I don't usually like to post too many personal posts on my blog, as I like it to predominantly contain fashion/ style related content. However, as I have been documenting my Maternity Style through my outfit posts and I've been so touched at everyone's lovely comments throughout my pregnancy, I thought it was only right to share with my readers a few intimate moments from my special day. Not only that, but I really loved the theme that Franki, one of my oldest friends, chose for me, after my request of not wanting a typical, baby blue, cliched style. I hope you enjoy this post; it really was such a wonderful day, and such a lovely thing to be surrounded by the majority of my nearest and dearest friends, plus, myself and baby boy were extremely spoilt!

I sourced this apple green dress from eBay, which has been the only official maternity item I have purchased. I fell in love with the pretty colour and knew I would want something uber comfortable to be able to relax in and enjoy the day. Of course, I knew that the decoration was going to be green...so that may have had something to do with my colour choice...

Cute little baby feet cookies made by Franki
My contribution to the sweet treats for the day - lemon and lime cupcakes!

 More cakes made for me!

 Being silly with balloons...

 Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: eBay
A few of my Instagram snaps from the day...
Loved this little prediction card...I wonder who will be closest...two weeks to go (hopefully no more!) and we will be able to find out! *eek!*
