A little while ago I was kindly sent a scarf of my choice to review from Lush Scarves, but like with most things it has taken me a while to get around to posting it what with gearing up for little Theo's arrival over the past few months. So here it is - better late than never!
I was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped the package to see the attention to detail, with scented faux petals scattered over the top of the neatly wrapped scarf; little things like that just make the difference and you know you are going to open a quality product.
I chose the 'Meadow' design, as at the time we were experiencing a wonderful heat wave so I wanted a lightweight, Summery look that I could actually enjoy wearing and styling with summer outfits. The fabric was just light enough to pop over a Summer dress when the weather was hot, with the colourful embroidered and beaded floral pattern adding lovely pops of colour. The great thing which I found about the particular design, was the fact all the flowers were different colours, making it very versatile to coordinate with a number of different outfits!
I decided to pick out the turquoise and orange hues in the scarf when styling my outfit to go with it, and being around 8 months pregnant at the time, and in the height of Summer, I picked my lovely loose, maternity jersey dress to wear with it, adding a pop of orange with a lightweight jacket and keeping the look quite simple and classic with a pair of white wedges.
I also love this way of wearing it; this would be the ideal way to wear the scarf with a pair of skinny jeans and a cute little blazer for a feminine touch.
The pashmina; my favourite way to style it. This is the most elegant way to wear a scarf and would be perfect for a Summer wedding or day at the races!
Thank you once again to Lush Scarves for the beautiful scarf and asking me to review it! Check out the rest of the range here; there's some great pieces for A/W so grab yours now!
