London Fashion Week SS15 Catwalk Report: Felder Felder

I was so thrilled I managed to make this show, as I didn't think I'd have time before another that I was desperate to see, but it all worked out in the end and I luckily got to that one too! I love the lightness to these designs; I could really see myself strutting around in this collection in the Summer months - especially the sheer, white shirt dress with the flowing tail.. heavenly. I really loved how the colours transformed from the carefree apples greens and metallic dusky blues, subtly merged into electric leopard print blue to the red and white, which then translated into red and black elements, to all black, finishing with all white everything. It really just flowed as a show! I adore the metallic blue mini skirt above, and love how everything is teamed with cowboy boots. A real Sixties vibe going on here, which makes sense as the design duo quoted supermodel Veruschka as being a strong inspiration behind their creations. Silhouettes and shapes consisted of bell shaped sleeves, flippy high neck dresses and high waisted flared trousers. Fabrics and details consisted of sheer chiffon, (a strong favourite among designers for SS15) lurex, lace, leather fringing, metallic and laser cut patterns. These are pieces that would go down very well at the next Coachella!

"We imagined Veruschka, the Sixties supermodel, and tried to think of how she might dress today," Daniela Felder told us of the inspiration behind today's Felder Felder show. Sort of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley meets Marianne Faithfull? "Perfect," she nodded, "she's bohemian but rock - with a sort of groupie vibe, but not grungey. We just started by thinking about her, and what she would wear out tonight in London or Ibiza maybe."
