So, it's official, Autumn is really here! Apologies for appearing negative towards the (far-fetched) idea of any kind of 'Indian Summer' - I absolutely adore the Summer and I really am such a sun bunny, but...there comes a point, when I'm just ready to start busting out the chunky knit jumpers and donning the knee high boots! So, I will gladly welcome a spot of sunshine if it is to be, but I will continue to dress accordingly to Autumn, whether I'll be sweltering in my knitwear or not! This post however, sits on the cusp of both Summer and Autumn when it comes to outfits. I'll be honest; these photos were taken a couple of months back when it actually was Summer, and not September or October in disguise, but like so many of my outfit pictures, it got lost in translation shall we say! (#badblogger). So anyway, I found these pictures and just thought the skirt is far too pretty not to be posted, and actually I think it's a great transitional piece due to the rich apricot tones and splashes of black; it would look great with some thick black tights and a pair of ankle boots for these colder months. Occasionally I do get a wave of nostalgia creep over me, longing for the (few and far between!) sunny days, loitering on the green with picnics, floating around in Summer dresses and devouring far too many ice-creams...but, seeing all the rich jewel tones and sumptuous fabrics rapidly entering all the shops at the moment, those feelings are quickly diminished, because I am so ready for AW14!
