I know it's kinda old news now, but I couldn't be happier about Gemma Ward's return to the modelling world after a seven year hiatus. She made her shock comeback in true style by opening the Prada SS15 catwalk show this year. She retired from the catwalk in 2007 at just 20 years old, it is believed this was following fellow Australian, Heath Ledger's death, who she was seeing at the time. During her time away from modelling, she pursued an acting career where she played roles in Pirates of the Carribean and The Great Gatsby and in December 2013, she gave birth to her Daughter Naia. These are just a few of some of my favourite images of the Australian beauty - I especially love the natural beauty and pureness of the portraits with her and her baby girl, shot by William Davidson at Whale Beach in Australia.
Last week while I was working up in London, I attended the #GardenOfArcadiaSS15 press preview. You'll have to forgive me for the photo quality, as this will a real last minute thing for me so only had my iPhone to capture images (although luckily, I'd recently upgraded to the beautiful 6, so the picture quality isn't too bad).
Well there's not much to say about this post apart from the fact that capes are THE item to be seen in this season! Whether it's a blanket cape or in coat form, you just can't go wrong with one of these babies. Effortless, stylish, easy to wear, go with anything and ultimately, so darn cosy - what's not to love!? The high-street is brimming with a variety of designs, but I've found that my favourite places to shop capes at the moment are ASOS (as always), New Look and Topshop. If you buy anything this A/W14, promise me you'll make it a cape!

Have a great week everyone!
The other week I met my Mum and Brother in lovely little Winchester for the day and as we were strolling along, we spotted this cute little alleyway leading to an antique bookshop; immediately my Mum and I thought this the perfect spot for a quick outfit picture due to the rustic, vintage vibe. Camel is one of the hottest shades for this season, especially for coats and I for one love this colour. I ordered this camel coat from Missguided and was a little worried as to how it would fit my 5"3 frame, due to the long-line style, but I was pretty pleased it didn't drown me too much as I would have been so sad to send it back! I love tonal dressing at the moment as well, so decided to team the coat with this tan roll neck jumper I picked up in a charity shop last month. If you're a regular reader you'll know how much I'm loving roll necks this Autumn as well - they're the best of both worlds enabling you to keep cosy but still look chic and on trend. Unfortunately I don't own any camel cigarette trousers (yet!) which in my head was what I would have paired this ensemble with, so opted for these floral ones gifted to me by Missguided in the Summer. I thought the Autumnal tones in the trousers worked really well with the camel, and even though I'm loving dressing in one shade right now, I felt it was a welcome splash of colour! I know I now own one, but there is such an abundance of camel coats around right now that I just want them all! Are you a fan of the camel coat?

I know the temperature has dropped of late, but culottes are still very much on my radar! And let's face it, most of your leg is covered up, so I reckon it'll be fine to still rock them for the rest of this month - they may look a little silly come December I suppose... As usual, the great British high-street has come up trumps and I am simply loving all these styles! What's your fave?

As you may well know, a few weeks ago I was invited to afternoon tea at the Laura Ashley hotel, (see post here). Naturally, I wanted to dress for the occasion, so I scoured the internet for my favourite high-street and online brands on my lunch breaks leading up to the event, in search of the perfect outfit. These tapestry style trousers had been sitting in my 'saved items' on the ASOS site for quite some time, I was so pleased to see they were now in the sale, so of course I immediately purchased them! When they arrived on my doorstep, I was thrilled; they looked even better in real life and fitted like a dream - trousers down, just a top and accessories to go! I knew instantly I wanted to team the trousers with grey, mostly because that's the colour I'm hugely obsessed with dressing in right now, and got it into my head that I wanted a grey, roll neck chunky knit! Seems like a simple enough wish, right? Wrong! I couldn't find one anywhere online! This meant a last minute dash to town after work the day before, and hey presto, found the perfect style awaiting me in New Look. I simply love roll necks right now, even better when on a chunky jumper. So I was happy to say the least. I wasn't really meaning to purchase a new coat...but I just happened to pop into Dorothy Perkins and saw the most perfect grey boyfriend coat - which I had been looking for forever, annndd they had 20% off, so really it was just meant to be. As it turned out, it had been chilly all week, and the Friday of the event decided to be an absolute scorcher for October, so as you can imagine, I spent most of the day carrying my new beauty in my arms *sob*. I knew exactly what I wanted to finish off my look: a silver statement necklace and silver metallic pointy heels. New Look came up trumps again for my desired shoe, and I found this stunning necklace from the Millie Mackintosh range for Dorothy Perkins. I really loved this outfit, the trousers just made it for me - very Laura Ashley esque I felt!

What do you think of this outfit? Are you loving winter pastels and grey tones as much as me, or are you more into the rich, jewel tones this season? I'd love to hear your thoughts, as always!
