LIFESTYLE | HAPPY HIGHLIGHTS

These images don't really need captioning, they speak for themselves. No extravagant events, dinners, food or days out, just enjoying the simple things like the blossom, healthy eating (or not so healthy as the bottom middle picture may suggest..!) and the most important thing of all, spending time with the most special little boy, my Son <3

Have a great weekend!

LIFESTYLE | Mathew Williamson Afternoon Tea at Balthazar, Covent Garden

Balthazar Covent Garden, London, Mathew Williamson Afternoon Tea, dessert, pudding, foodie, food porn, cake, pastries,
A couple of weekends ago I finally had the chance to visit one of my favourite restaurants in London, Balthazar, to sample the exquisite looking Afternoon Tea in collaboration with Mathew Williamson. The British designer teamed up with the Covent Garden based hot spot to celebrate it's second anniversary, by taking inspiration from his SS15 collection to create the most beautiful and delicious treats.

LIFESTYLE | Weekly Happy Highlights (April)

Weekly Happy Highlights
Today's post is just a little snippet of a few things I've been up to since April, just a little insight into my life as part of my weekly 'Happy Highlights' series. You can see my last one here. I've still got loads more to share with you from this month, but instead of doing a mammoth collage (like the last one!) I thought I'd break it down a bit this time...

1. Welcoming April with open arms, 2. Bringing some sparkle to the office, 3. Exciting delivery, 4. Blossom appreciation, 5. Bubba was feeling a tad under the weather so I was allowed scrummy snuggles, 6. Celebrating Easter, 7. Mathew Williamson afternoon tea at Balthazar booked, 8. The last of the daffodils, 9. Friday Favourites (to become a regular thing on my Instagram), 10. Off for another cheese & wine evening with friends, 11. FWIS for a cinema trip to see the Fast & Furious 7 film, 12. Ladybird spotting on a family day out, 13. NEW CAR!! 14. Easter cakes little man made at nursery, 15. Mama & Son time visiting his Grandad for his Birthday, 16. Smiley selfie - because, why not!?

The majority of these pictures are from my Instagram - you can follow me here to keep up to date with my daily posts :)

LIFESTYLE | Happy Highlights From March

LIFESTYLE: Happy Highlights from my Week, lifestyle, my week in pictures, my month in pictures, lifestyle blogger, modemadeleine, photo montage, memories
It occurred to me that I hadn't posted a 'Happy Highlights' post for a good month or so, since before my Birthday I think! So this is a rather picture heavy post, as I've had to incorporate the last 6 weeks into a photo montage, rather than just the past week.

Hiii and happy FriYAY!! I know we've had two four day weeks but goodness, doesn't it feel good to know it's the end of the week again; especially with all this glorious sunshine! Just a quick post today, just to show you a few pieces I'm currently coveting. I'm hugely into dressing in neutrals right now, and the best thing about it is that neutral tones work just as beautifully in the Winter as well as in the Spring/ Summer, which makes it a great all rounder when choosing your capsule wardrobe. Creams, greys, whites, blacks, mochas, pewters etc. - to me all these hues just scream classiness, so really, you just cannot go wrong. You can of course mix up your neutrals if you simply must have a splash of colour injected into your look, which again, is the beauty of this colour palette, as it will go with pretty much any other colour. I personally, love a full on neutral look but will now and again add in a burst of colour, depending on my mood, the occasion and probably the weather! One of my favourite ways to rock the neutral look right now, is with a pair of slim ankle grazer trousers or jeans, a simple T-shirt or elegant draped blouse, perhaps with a sleeveless blazer or trench thrown over the top, a pair of killer sunnies and voila! Instant chic. What do you think of this trend right now, a fan?

Until next time...
