Friday wishlist, new in, ss15, topshop striped shirt dress, grey blazer, f&f, aw16, leather look city shorts, river island, gladiator sandals, navy, utility, rose gold mules from office, kimono maxi dress from river island

There are so many fabulous things online at the moment that it makes the fact I'm on a spending ban even more depressing! I'm going on a hen do in June to Marbs so I'm having to save all my pennies for that - so until then, a wishlist will just have to suffice for now. The two things I'm really loving at the moment are stripes and anything navy; I really didn't used to be a fan of navy but now I just can't get enough of it! I adore this kimono maxi dress and think it would look superb with all gold accessories and tan or metallic gladiator sandals - I'd love to be able to wear this and sashay around on the beaches of Marbella!
I used to be a very girly girl when it came to Spring/Summer, and would float around in dresses all day long. Now I've got a bit older and also due to the fact I'm a Mama and need the practicality element when choosing my outfits, my go to is a lightweight pair of trousers, whether that be culottes, cigarette trousers or city shorts. I'm especially loving these leather look city shorts from River Island at the moment - perfect for running around after an adventurous toddler and maintaining (some) dignity, whilst also looking chic and on trend with a slight utility vibe, as well as being highly versatile with the lovely neutral tone.
A bit of an extravagant want at the moment are these incredible rose gold mules from Office. I am an absolute sucker for anything rose gold and these are just Out.Of.This.World. I fell in love with them when I saw them on Instagram a couple of days ago and I just can't get them out of my head! I'd love to have somewhere amazing to be able to wear them. Oh...I am attending a wedding in July...does that count!? I'm not sure they're quite wedding guest appropriate, especially if there is grass - which, let's face it, is quite probable :-/ Hmmm, better just keep dreaming about them then *damnspendingban*.
You've probably seen gladiator sandals all over the internet and in store as of late - yep, they're back with a vengeance. There are so many styles available - wedges, flat sandals, chunky heeled sandals, leather, suede - you name it, it's available. I will probably invest in either a wedge heel or flats for my holiday (yes, yes, I know I said I'm on a spending ban...but a girl's got to stay on trend whilst vacay-ing, right!?) due to comfort, versatility and practicality, however, I just fell in love with these amazing heeled beauties from River Island - I would have absolutely nowhere to wear them and they're highly impractical for a Mother butttt...they would be lovely to keep in my shoe closet and just look at from time to time. I know, I know. I'm not actually going to buy them for that sole purpose (no pun intended!), or indeed buy them at all seeing as I have no purpose for them. Most definitely not. Probably not. Well maybe. Anyway! The last thing on my wishlist which I actually am going to invest in (they're only £12 so luckily not an extravagant investment) are these chunky flat top cat eye sunglasses from ASOS. I've been on a hunt for a pair of uber cat eyes for quite some time now, and being all black I think they'll just look fierce with pretty much any outfit I throw on. Also, how amazing will they look with a wide rim floppy hat, tasselled kimono and pina colada in hand while in Marbs!? I've got it all planned out...
I've popped the links to each item below if you like the look of anything I've chosen. Let me know if there are any pieces or trends you're especially loving right now?
Until next time...
