At the beginning of the month I was asked to work on F&F's #12DaysofChristmas campaign with 11 other bloggers. The idea was to create a party outfit using pieces from their Christmas collection. We also each had a dedicated day where we took over the F&F Instagram account with some of our festive pictures which you can see here.
When it comes to Christmas, more is more in my opinion when it comes to fabric and texture; give me all of the faux fur, velvet, tassles and glitter!! I opted for this stunning metallic rose gold dress as I felt the long sleeves and ruched detail over the stomach would be super flattering for the indulgent time of year, and would also be suitable for work parties, partying with the girls or festive family dinners. I decided to style it with this gorgeous cream faux fur coat for an ultra glam look, whilst keeping toasty. I added a cute faux fur cross body bag, which could also be used as a clutch bag and pointed, faux suede black ankle boots with zip detailing. I thought this look would be perfect for a day out visiting the Christmas markets followed by a few mulled wines later on in the evening - hence the thick tights and layering.
The great thing is that all of these pieces could be styled completely differently to suit different occasions. If I chose to wear this dress to my Christmas work do or for drinks with friends, then I'd team it with a bit more bling, bare legs and elegant heels, or for Christmas Day with the family I'd keep the thick tights and boots and add a super soft chunky cardigan to stay comfy and cosy after all that turkey!
